van wars 1.0
hey everyone! mike here. a lot has been going on since day 1 of tour! we caught a glimpse of our music video for homecoming, and it’s amazing so far. Noah Shulman is the man.
the shows have been amazing, thank you everyone so much for coming out! after only a few days of tour we’ve had everything from a cancelled show turned into an acoustic coffee shop hang out, to nearly sold out shows, to VAN WARS with the cab.
let me explain what a van war is for those of you that don’t know. it’s basically throwing anything and everything garbage/ gross related from the inside of your van, to the exterior of your opponents van, aka the cab. both vans got pretty gnarly, and although last night the cab may have won the battle, in the end Hey Monday definitly won the war. we gave them all we had- pepto bismol, elmer’s glue, pudding bombs, beans, chili, syrup, urine, and anything else you can imagine.
in turn, we recieved heavy bombardments of honey, syrup, ketchup, blow pops, Gatorade bottles, and BBQ sauce. after trying to make a truce and become a team in getting the other bands on tour, the cab turned on us with a cheap shot of covering our van with only God knows what while we were inside wendys eatting. after enduring this act of treason placed upon us, we immediately formed an alliance with this providence and a rocket to the moon.
our mission- make the cab cry.
we will keep you posted, van wars 2.0 coming soon. hahaha. we are in Colorado right now, the weather is beautiful, and the views of the mountains are unlike anything we have ever seen. we are on our way to get our trailer looked at, we think an axle might be bent… let’s hope not!! well, after writing a novel updating everyone on what’s going on in the Hey Monday world, it is time for me to go. we will be updating and checking back very frequently, so keep posted! we love you all, and see you at the shows!!!
